The Cowboy and the Surfer.
My littlest dude and his Grandaddy (my dad) have a unique connection, which is pretty sweet to see. Since he was teeny-tiny, Blaise has preferred Grandaddy to Grammy (much to her chagrin); and when we were in Ft. Collins last week, if I wasn't around...well, he was happy, as long as his grandaddy was there!
Dad calls Blaise the little surfer dude, because of his hair and the way he just kinda does his own thing.

Because I never met any of my grandparents, I've always loved seeing how our kiddos relate to their grandparents. So when I snapped this shot in my parents' backyard during a crazy photo session with my folks and all their grandkids (super fun, by the way) I was thrilled. The ol' Cowboy and the Surfer....it sounds like a children's book :)
